Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent the Russian player won his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a former number one, has had a torrid year, winning just a single victory at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally separating with former coach Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's first championship since the Rome competition and first on a hard court since that period of that year.
The win also indicates he has secured 21 victories at 21 distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my both daughters at once, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted some to wonder if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
But the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to come to the net and play positively, supported by an better serving game.
The champion came back from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, securing four of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair traded break points in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to create a decider.
He saved four initial chances in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the win with a rally at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
